Bensalem Township is hosting a week-long electronic recycling event at the Public Works building, 3800 Hulmeville Road, through Oct. 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Bensalem residents only. No commercial businesses. Must show identification.
Accepted items include: desktop and laptop computers; keyboards and mice; printers and fax machines; cables and cords; cell phone and laptop batteries; calculators and adding machines; UPS battery backups; toner and ink cartridges; audio visual equipment; telephones and cell phones (please remove cell phone batteries); DVD players and VCRs; gaming systems; string Christmas lights; microwaves and small appliances; CRT monitors; LCD monitors; televisions; and console stereos. Anything with a plug is accepted.
Items not accepted include: household batteries; car batteries; light bulbs; CDs; DVDs; VHS tapes; and household hazardous waste, including paint, pool chemicals, cleaning products, etc.
