The Bucks County Area Agency on Aging needs the public’s help to fight hunger among seniors. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals from the local senior centers to homebound seniors living in the community.
Currently, the need is greatest in Warminster, Feasterville-Trevose, Middletown, Morrisville and Bensalem.
Qualified individuals will be reliable, have their own transportation (valid driver’s license, registration and auto insurance), and a friendly disposition. Volunteers must be available between the hours of 10 a.m. to noon, on a weekday. Volunteer commitment is a minimum of one day a week, for 1.5 hours. Mileage reimbursement for meal delivery is available.
