Tinicum Together endorses Debbie Wachspress for Democratic nomination for U.S. Congress

The following was submitted by the grassroots political action group

Tinicum Together, a Bucks County grassroots political action group, supports the nomination of Debbie Wachspress for U.S. Congress.

Debbie is committed to the central needs of our community and our country – health, safety, good education, jobs and reversing the climate crisis. As a policy analyst at the Department of Environmental Protection, Debbie worked toward assuring our water is safe to drink. As a leader of the Million Mom March for gun safety, she organized women and families from NJ and PA to represent the gun safety concerns of our communities. Believing that communication is an antidote to violence and central to a healthy and engaged society, Debbie led development for The Peace Center, a Bucks County nonprofit that teaches children and adults anti-bullying and non-violent conflict resolution skills.

Debbie is committed to expanding access to quality, affordable health care. As a member of the Pennsbury school board, she restored health benefits to families of the district’s lowest paid workers. She believes in strong early childhood education. As a member of the school board, she worked with others to successfully implement full-day kindergarten across the district, making it possible for children to have the enhanced educational opportunities they need and deserve.

Debbie believes the best way to approach the climate crisis is through new jobs in the renewable energy sector. She will work with her colleagues in Congress, reaching across the aisle, to strengthen our economy by creating new good-paying jobs with health benefits through a strong future-facing jobs initiative.

Tinicum Together believes Debbie Wachspress has the determination to work with others to make the changes we need for our families, community and country. We endorse her nomination to serve as the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in PA’s 1st U.S. Congressional District.
