Bensalem Police are seeking the community’s help in locating the vehicle

UPDATE: The striking vehicle has been located in Bensalem Township. The case is still active as Bensalem Police attempt to identify and locate the driver.

The Bensalem Township Police Department is requesting the public’s help with identifying a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit and run on Hulmeville Road in the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 12.

Bensalem Police were called to the scene at 6 a.m. when a witness observed a deceased male lying on the side of the Hulmeville Road near the intersection of Kings Avenue.

Police were able to identify the male as Timothy McGuire, 38, from Ogden Avenue in Bensalem.

The vehicle struck McGuire in the southbound lane of Hulmeville Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. and fled the scene. Bensalem Police have identified several car parts (pictured) as belonging to an “Alien Green” 2016-2019 Kia Soul. The vehicle should have extensive damage to the right front fender and headlight area.
