The NAC (Newtown Athletic Club) Have a Heart Foundation recently donated $10,000 to Fuel the Force, a nonprofit organization that offers a free lunch program and special events for Bucks County police officers.
This unique mission was established by local community member Christina Nelson in 2022 to shine a light on what police officers sacrifice every day to ensure the safety of communities, and express gratitude.
In attendance at the check presentation were Nelson, NAC owner Jim Worthington, NAC Have a Heart director Linda Mitchell, and police officers from Newtown Township and Borough, Yardley, Lower Makefield, Upper Makefield, Langhorne, Buckingham, Northampton and the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.
