Michael Dunbar, 55, of State Road, Bensalem, was arrested for uploading child pornography into his Google account

Child pornography arrest

On April 25, Bensalem Police received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip referenced a Google account that had uploaded and saved numerous videos depicting child pornography, including prepubescent boys and girls engaging in sexual acts with each other. 

Detectives began an investigation and determined that the owner/user of the account was Michael Dunbar, 55, of State Road, Bensalem. On June 20, Bensalem Detectives served a search warrant on Dunbar’s residence. He was interviewed and admitted to intentionally uploading child pornography into his Google account after finding the videos on the Dark Web. 

Dunbar was arrested and arraigned by District Justice Michael Gallagher and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $300,000 bail. 

Kohl’s retail theft

Bensalem Police are investigating a retail theft at Kohl’s, 2325 Street Road, on June 16. It was reported at approximately 3:30 p.m. that two unknown Hispanic males entered the store and concealed seven bottles of cologne, valued at roughly $980. They fled in a light-colored SUV or van. Home Depot retail theft

Bensalem Police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at the Home Depot, 900 Rockhill Drive, on June 15. It was reported at approximately 7:20 a.m. that an unknown black male entered the store and stole phone chargers and a speaker worth $67. He fled the area without paying for the merchandise. Burglary

Bensalem Police are investigating a burglary at the Gatehouse Apartments complex on June 16. It was reported that an unknown male riding a mountain bike entered the maintenance room at approximately 2:20 a.m. He walked around the room and, without taking anything, exited the complex after a short while. Approximately one hour later, a dark-in-color four-door sedan entered the complex and parked near the maintenance room. The same man stole two backpack leaf blowers, a DeWalt pressure washer and several boxes of tile from the room. 

The suspect is described as a white male with facial hair, approximately 30 years of age, a thin build with a distinct Philadelphia Phillies “P” on his right shoulder, and other tattoos. The vehicle did not have a license plate displayed and had three black rims (or donuts). The only silver rim is on the rear passenger side. Acme retail theft

On March 16, at 2:25 p.m., a man fled the Acme store located on E. Street Road in Feasterville without paying for assorted over-the-counter medications (Tylenol, Systane eye care, Pataday vitamins and Excedrin), total value to be $1,025. He concealed the items in a green reusable bag prior to passing all points of sale without paying.
