Building A Better Bensalem Together, a volunteer group that works to unify the community through various initiatives, invites the public to B3T Unity Week, from Sunday, Jan. 14 through Friday, Jan. 19.
This annual initiative, which takes place in conjunction with MLK Day, allows residents to attend services at different places of worship. They’re able to understand more about their neighbors of varying backgrounds, and promote the strength of diversity and unity within the township.
A free B3T Unity Week Breakfast Celebration takes place Monday, Jan. 15, from 8 to 9 a.m. at Parx East. RSVP is required no later than Monday, Jan. 8 (email subject is “B3T-UW” and address is B3Tcoalition@gmail.com).
The schedule is as follows:
- Sunday, Jan. 14: Love Fellowship Tabernacle, 5918 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, at 5 p.m. Refreshments provided.
- Monday, Jan. 15: St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church, 4136 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, at 12:30 p.m. Please remove shoes before entering the temple. Refreshments provided.
- Monday, Jan. 15: Linconia Tabernacle, 2460 Paris Ave., Trevose, at 7 p.m. Refreshments provided.
- Tuesday, Jan. 16: Bensalem United Methodist Church, 4300 Hulmeville Road, at 9:30 a.m. Light refreshments provided.
- Tuesday, Jan. 16: ShriNathji Haveli Temple, 2746 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, at 7 p.m. Please remove shoes before entering the temple. Dinner provided.
- Wednesday, Jan. 17: Mongkoltepmunee/Buddhist Temple, 3304 Knights Road, Bensalem, at noon. Please remove shoes before entering the temple. Lunch provided.
- Wednesday, Jan. 17: Faith Unity Islamic Center, 5961 Bensalem Blvd., Bensalem, at 6:30 p.m. Please remove shoes before entering the temple. Dinner provided.
