SCORE Bucks County announced that it’s offering four free webinars in February in a continued effort to keep the local business community informed.
“How to Gain Customers with a LinkedIn Company Page” takes place Feb. 7. Led by SCORE volunteer Lynne Williams, who serves as executive director of Philadelphia Area Great Careers Group, the session provides insight on the differences between a personal page and a business page. Williams will present live demonstrations with actionable takeaways adaptable to all business formats, from solopreneur, consultant and small business owner. She will discuss: how to create your banner and logo; special features that can be incorporated on the company page; growing your business; gaining authority; building awareness.
“Introduction to Commercial Real Estate” takes place Feb. 14. Presented by realtor Gilbert Cheeseman, the webinar focuses on the basics of commercial real estate, including the differences in commercial real estate and commercial leases. He will discuss: financing; purchase; lease options; investments.
“Avoiding Scams for Small Business Owners” takes place Feb. 21. Led by Katrina Boyer, Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities investor education coordinator, this session focuses on scams that small business owners and entrepreneurs should be aware of. Participants will learn about: counterfeit checks, wire transfers and gift card scams; what to do if you become a victim of fraud or scam; how educating your customers about scams can help promote goodwill in the community.
“Cash Flow Management Basics” takes place Feb. 28. SCORE volunteer mentor Alberto Casadei, a retired executive with decades of experience in operations management, engineering, product development and business development, presents the webinar. He’ll share insight on: the importance of cash flow; the main reasons for cash flow problems; how to improve cash flow; using a simple model to forecast cash flow.
