Parx Casino recently announced the total from its “Roll the Dice and Win: Pink Edition” promotion — $5,000 to benefit the programs and services of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.
Last month, casino visitors had the opportunity to spin the mega wheel to earn a pink prize. For every guest who landed on pink, Parx donated $100 to the PBCC. Parx has raised over $30,000 for the coalition’s efforts since 2012. Casino staff recently presented the PBCC with the 2022 contribution at a special check presentation, attended by state Sen. Tommy Tomlinson, PA Breast Cancer Coalition executive vice president Joanne Grossi and Parx staff.
“Grassroots partners like Parx Casino are the heart of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s mission,” said Pat Halpin-Murphy, PA Breast Cancer Coalition president and founder. “We are so grateful to Parx, its patrons and to the communities of the greater Philadelphia area who remain dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer now so our daughters don’t have to.”
Every day, 38 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in Pennsylvania. More than 150,000 women are currently living with the disease across the state. The PA Breast Cancer Coalition provides programs and services for those women, including free Friends Like Me care packages full of resources and small gifts, educational programming and personalized patient advocacy. The coalition also awards grants each year to outstanding Pennsylvania breast cancer researchers working to find a cure. Visit PABreastCancer.org or call 800-377-8828 for more information.
