The police department of Bensalem and Middletown townships are hosting National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug. 2. National Night Out is an annual, nationwide community policing event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Middletown’s runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Municipal Center. Families and community members can meet local police officers and participate in police demonstrations.

Activities include crafts, throwing a pie in the face of a local elected official, basketball, jumbo yard games and more. Shop small from vendors and grab a bite from a food truck.
