National Night Out is Aug. 2

From 5 to 8 p.m., Bristol Borough locals are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement

Neighborhoods throughout Bristol Borough are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across 16,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide for the borough’s first National Night Out, sponsored by the Bristol Borough Police Department, Bristol Cares Coalition, Keystone First and Bristol Borough Teen Foundation.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work.

From 5 to 8 p.m., neighbors throughout Bristol Borough and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement.

This event takes place on the grounds of Snyder-Girotti Elementary School, 420 Buckley St. Attendees are urged to bring school supplies to donate for this upcoming academic year. Suggested items include: composition notebooks, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, pens, glue sticks, binders, folders, spiral notebooks, highlighters and dry erase markers.
