Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem recently hosted corporate partner Parx Casino for a special Food Enrichment and Fill the Freezer program. A team of 25 Parx employees volunteered to help WAC fill freezers with nutritious Kong filled meals that are frozen and then served to shelter dogs as their second dinner. The Parx team also learned about food enrichment toys for their own pets from WAC’s canine education coordinator.
Sharyn Madden, HR training manager for Parx, presented the center’s CEO Cathy Malkemes with a $10,000 corporate partnership contribution to support safe shelter, nutritious meals, enrichment and medical care for the shelter pets waiting for their forever homes.
