SCORE Bucks County offering free webinars in June

Learn about business liability insurance, business strategies for women and more next month

SCORE Bucks County is offering four free webinars in June in an effort to keep the local business community informed.

“Successful Strategies for Women (Part 1): Envisioning Your Business Beyond Today” takes place June 7, rescheduled from May. Led by Nicole McCabe, the alliance director of Microsoft Partnership at Snowflake, this webinar is the first of a two-part series focused on women in leadership. The goal is to focus on moving beyond the “why” a business started and plan for the successful business growth into the future. This will include resources, how to identify and overcome obstacles, and how female entrepreneurs can create the discipline to create and execute on the plan. The webinar will share insight on: business planning for the future; identifying blind spots in the current business plan; and understanding strengths and weaknesses as a leader and the impact on the business.

“What You Should Know About Business Liability Insurance” takes place June 14. Led by Tom Kueny, a partner at KMRD Partners in Warrington, the webinar provides a high-level overview of the liability coverages that business owners will need in order to protect their business. Kueny will offer insight on: general liability; professional liability; employment practices liability; and cyber liability.

“Basic Product and Service Sales Skills” takes place June 21. Presented by SCORE certified mentor Alan Sipe, who has more than 50 years of successful sales, marketing and executive experience in business to business marketplaces, the session provides attendees with basic sales knowledge and skills to successfully present their products and services. Sipe will discuss: how to handle questions and objections; pre-planning for meeting potential customers; and how to ask for the sale.

“Successful Strategies for Women (Part 2): Strengths-Based Leadership” takes place June 28. During the second part of her webinar series, McCabe’s goal is to focus on how women can increase confidence and overall happiness by embracing their strengths and leveraging them for the success of their business. McCabe will discuss: how to define a strength; the link between strengths, confidence and happiness; leveraging strengths to become a more impactful leader; and integrating strengths into your business.
