Bucks County Community College is hosting the S.P.A.R.K. Speakers Series every Thursday through May 5. The series is designed to equip and inspire students to uncover their best selves as future leaders on campus, in their communities and beyond.
These virtual, interactive sessions allow students to engage with high-powered thought-leaders, speakers and presenters. The lessons and messages learned will inspire self-care and self-awareness, preparation and persistence, asking and answering of questions, respecting diversity, and knowledge acquisition, also known as S.P.A.R.K.
All events run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and are accessed virtually via the sign up link here.
The schedule of events is as follows:
April 7: Brian Heat is an inspirational speaker, educator, producer, director, publisher and best-selling author. He transforms audiences with motivational and cinematic themes through his electric persona and unforgettable presentations.
April 14: Joaquin Zihuatanejo is an author, poet, spoken word artist and award-winning teacher. Raised in the barrio of East Dallas, he captures the duality of Chicano culture and has captivated thousands with his honest depictions of barrio life.
April 21 and 28, May 5: Marisel Herrera is a speaker, author and life coach with messages drawn from her rich cultural heritage and belief in the power of education and faith. Born in New York, she speaks to the bilingual and bicultural realities facing Latina/os, the fastest-growing ethnic minority in the United States.
The series is free to attend, but students must register here. High school and college students from throughout Bucks County are welcome to attend these virtual events.
