Neshaminy students helping answer child’s dream with talent show

The high school’s annual Neshaminy’s Got Talent show is set for April 7, with proceeds helping 9-year-old Milen visit Disney World and Universal Studios

Students from Neshaminy High School’s Interact Club are hosting their 16th annual Neshaminy’s Got Talent show on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. to raise funds for a local child on Sunshine Foundation’s waiting list. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children.

Money raised by the students will help answer the dream of Milen Kirchukov, a 9-year-old diagnosed with spina bifida who dreams of visiting Disney World and Universal Studios.

“What makes me happy is laughing with my mom and sister. I also really like going to school and learning new things. Sometimes I may need a little bit of help and I have been through a lot of surgeries (ask me and I can tell you all about them), but I’m a normal kid who loves all the superheroes, especially Batman and Spiderman,” said Milen.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the event, which is taking place at the NHS Auditorium, 2001 Old Lincoln Highway in Langhorne.

Other organizations that are helping to make Milen’s dream come true include The Landing of Southampton, Matthews Children’s Foundation and Gannon Insurance Agency.

Interact is an international service-learning organization affiliated with the Rotary, with the goal to help make the world a better place. Interact has projects going on throughout the school year.
