The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library invites the public to join for a STEM Maker Faire on Saturday, March 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School, 450 Beaver St. in Bristol. The event, which focuses on students in elementary and middle school, is an opportunity for children and their parents to explore STEM education and careers to see the fun side of STEM.
Awarded the 2021 Bristol Complex Community Advisory Committee grant, the Grundy Library is hosting the Maker Faire as part of its “STEMtastic Learning Initiative.” Participants will find a STEM technology petting zoo with interactive STEM technology demonstrations; learn about STEM careers and education opportunities in the area; and get an introduction to the “STEMtastic Learning Initiative.” During the event, Grundy will distribute free STEM “Take & Make” kits. Participants who complete a “Technology Passport” will be entered into a prize drawing for a STEM prize basket.
