Bristol quarterback Shaquille Grimes rushed for a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough, as the Warriors fell to Belmont Charter, 22-6, in a District 1/2/12 Class A regional football playoff game.
Grimes carried 10 times for 67 yards. Kendall Cottrell rushed for 44 yards on nine carries. Elijah Alexandre finished with 42 yards on nine carries.
The Warriors are 7-3. Their season finale will be on Thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. at Morrisville. The Bulldogs have not beaten the Warriors on Thanksgiving since 1998.
