Bucks Knocks Out Hunger food drives set for this weekend

No-contact drop-off sites across the county will be accepting donations on Friday and Saturday

United Way of Bucks County is once again hosting its Bucks Knocks Out Hunger food drive. During the pandemic, an additional 25,000 people in the county experienced food insecurity, many for the first time. Donations to the campaign will lift the burden of hunger for a struggling family.

On Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, both from 9 a.m. to noon, there will be five drive-thru, no-contact food drop-off sites in Bucks, gathering thousands of pounds of food that people need most and getting it to food pantries to be distributed.

Locations on Friday are Neshaminy Mall parking lot, Central Bucks High School West parking lot, and St. Luke’s University Hospital parking lot. Locations on Saturday are Bucks County Community College main campus in Newtown, and UW Bucks’ HELP Center in Bristol.

No glass containers or expired food. Please check dates before donating. Donations of any and all kinds are appreciated, but some items are always needed at local food pantries. Click here for a list.

For anyone feeling crafty and creative, create and decorate a custom box for a household in need of a little help. More information is here.
