Pennsylvanians who are uninsured but want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine are being reminded that the three vaccine options are available at no cost, regardless of whether they have health insurance.
“Everyone has the power to take control of their health and protect themselves from COVID-19 with the available vaccines,” said Pennsylvania Department of Health Acting Physician General Dr. Denise Johnson. “The fact that they are free of charge makes getting vaccinated more attainable for both our youth and adults. If you have already been vaccinated, please encourage your loved ones to get the information they need to make the decision to get a COVID-19 vaccination to protect themselves from the virus.”
Bucks County recently reported that the vaccine is helping rates of COVID-19 drop. The seven-day average of new infections reached a seven-month low of 57 per day on Thursday.
If a resident receives an unexpected bill related to COVID-19, they should contact the Pennsylvania Insurance Department at 1-877-881-6388.
