‘Big Laughs on Campus’ returns March 18

Donations will help Bucks County Community College students in need

Buddy Fitzpatrick

Bucks County Community College’s “Big Laughs on Campus,” a live, online monthly comedy series that gives back to students, returns Thursday, March 18, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Hosted by comedy veteran Marc Kaye, the series features nationally-known comedians now headlining directly from their couches, kitchens or living rooms. The laughs take place every third Thursday. Tickets are free, but donations are suggested to the Bucks County Community College Foundation to help Bucks students.

Kaye has performed in clubs across the country, often finding that there are no real regional differences that can’t be overcome with humor. An avid writer and musician, Kaye has also written scripts, web series and numerous humor articles, and written and trained for Fortune 500 Companies. He is the founder of Eliro, a company that combines the discipline of marketing and the creativity of humor and improv to help train, develop content and drive strategic planning.

Brought by the Bucks Live! cultural series, the next event features comedians Buddy Fitzpatrick and Natalie Levant. This performance is for mature audiences because of language and content.

Fitzpatrick, the headliner, co-wrote and stars on Wrestling Christmas Miracle and can be seen in FACES on Apple TV. His CD Happy Now? can be heard on SiriusXM, and his DVD Still in the Driveway can be seen on Dry Bar Comedy.

Natalie Levant

Levant started doing stand-up eight years ago at age 81, and has already achieved her goal to totally disgrace her family. As she puts it, “Aging gracefully is an option – the alternative is ‘never know your place,’” a phrase she often wears on a tank top when performing at clubs, restaurants and dive bars from South Philly to South Jersey.

Although tickets are free, donations are encouraged to the BCCC Foundation’s Fighting Food Insecurity Fund, established to help Bucks students with groceries and other needed essentials. Go to tinyurl.com/DonateBucks to make a donation. Under “Area of Support,” select “Fighting Food Insecurity Fund” from the drop-down menu.

Free tickets for the live, online event must be reserved at bucks.edu/tickets. A link to view the performance will be sent by email after registration.
