Family Service Association of Bucks County is the recipient of a $25,000 gift through Amazon’s NeighborGood Program. Family Service was nominated by the Amazon Distribution Center in Langhorne, DEW4.
The NeighborGood Program was established in 2020 with the purpose of giving back to the communities in which Amazon operates. The goal is to spread goodwill and support local communities, nonprofits and governments. As AMZL Delivery Stations are embedded in neighborhoods near homes, schools and other businesses, their physical presence in communities is widely known and felt. Therefore, it’s their duty to give back and support their neighbors.
Vance Lofton, the area manager of the Langhorne Amazon Distribution Center and ambassador for the NeighborGood Program, nominated Family Service for this gift due to its wide array of programs and reach in the community.
“You can feel the passion in what their team does for the community,” said Lofton. “They’ve welcomed me and the rest of the DEW4 family with open arms. We all look forward to more community engagements and being more involved.”
This isn’t the first time that Amazon has shown support for Family Service. The Langhorne Distribution Center has organized a number of donation drives for Family Service and the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, including contributions of food and personal protective equipment.
