Davis presents $25,000 check to Levittown’s Emergency Homeless Shelter

The Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, which operates 24/7, is a temporary residence for individuals and families who have lost housing

State Rep. Tina Davis has secured a $25,000 grant for Levittown’s Family Service Association of Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter from the Department of Human Services. She presented a check to the organization last Friday.

“With winter approaching and COVID-19 cases steadily on the rise, there is an urgent need for secure and sanitary temporary housing for the homeless in Bucks County,” Davis said. “This grant will help Levittown’s Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter continue to provide safe temporary shelter to adults and children during this crisis.”

The Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter is a temporary residence for individuals and families who have lost housing. The shelter operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Typically, the shelter houses 75 people and one-third of its residents are children.
