TMA Bucks announced that Gabriel Salgado, of New Britain Township, has been selected to receive a $2,500 TMA Bucks Foundation scholarship.
Salgado, who recently graduated from Central Bucks High School South, will be furthering his education at the University of Pittsburgh this upcoming fall, where he will major in civil engineering.
“Gabriel was this year’s sole scholarship recipient, chosen over numerous other applicants from high schools throughout Bucks County,” said TMA Bucks executive director Stephen Noll. “We are extremely proud we are still able to award a scholarship this year even though the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to cancel our annual golf outing that is the sole source of funding for this scholarship.”
Bucks County high school seniors planning to pursue a course of post-high school study in civil engineering, urban planning, transportation management or any other related field can apply annually for scholarships from the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Fund.
“This scholarship provides me with the opportunity to study civil engineering and eventually make real change in this world,” said Salgado.
