FEBRUARY 5

Tinker Wednesdays: Southampton Free Library, at 947 Street Road, Southampton, will host this event on Wednesdays through Feb. 26, at 4:30 p.m. The idea is for the children to play, create and tinker with various items in order to become more comfortable with basic concepts of coding. The Tinkering Kit consists of Ozobots, Beebots, Bloxels, Chromebooks and more. Each week, the library will highlight a new item from the kit. Best for elementary school-aged children. Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Democratic Congressional Candidate Forum: This event will take place at the Lower Southampton Township Building, 1500 Desire Ave., Feasterville, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Congressional candidates Christina Finello, Debbie Wachspress and Skylar Hurwitz will present their positions on local issues affecting residents in the township and county, followed by a question-and-answer period. Camp NAC Open House: The Newtown Athletic Club, at 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, is hosting an open house for its summer program, Camp NAC, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a slime station, kinetic sand, fruit pizza making, a Disney inflatable, sand art, face painting and a variety of interactive games and activities. Mill Street Chocolate Festival: Bristol Borough is hosting the Mill Street Chocolate Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. For $5, visit 20 participating businesses and try a unique piece of chocolate at each. Those who visit at least 10 stores (be sure to get your ticket punched at each location) are entered into a drawing to win $250. Tickets can be purchased at Collector’s Corner, Bristol Antique Market, Angelina’s Bakery, Mignoni Jewelry and Great IDs by Anne.

Saturday Morning Bird Walks: This free event will take place at Silver Lake Nature Center, 1306 Bath Road in Bristol, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Participants should meet outside of the Visitors’ Building near the parking area. For information, call 215-785-1177 or visit SilverLakeNatureCenter.org.

Basketball Tournament: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County’s inaugural Defending Potential 3v3 Basketball Tournament will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Newtown Athletic Club, 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown. Players ages 18 and older are encouraged to create teams to compete for prizes and awards. Each team will consist of a maximum of four players with games being 3 on 3. This is a double-elimination tournament. There will also be a three-point contest following the tournament for a chance to win the 50/50 jackpot. Registration is $25 per player.
