Gary Sanderson, Sherwood “Chip” Taylor, Christine Toy-Dragoni and Josh Waldorf, all directors on the Pennsbury school board, announced their formal support for Debbie Wachspress in her bid to unseat Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s 1st District.
“Working with Deb, we know the kind of strength and leadership she will bring to Washington,” they said in a statement. “Deb has always had the courage to stand up and fight for what’s right on the school board and we’re sure she will do the same thing in Congress. We’ve accomplished a lot together on the school board and we’re excited to see what Deb will accomplish in D.C.”
“I am so proud to receive the endorsement of my fellow Pennsbury school board directors,” said Wachspress. “I’m running for Congress because the folks in the 1st District need a representative in Washington who isn’t afraid to stand up and fight for them. I’ve been fighting for what’s right my whole life and in Congress, I will fight for more affordable health care, smarter environmental protections and common-sense gun safety reforms.”
