Fitzpatrick receives endorsements

The Bensalem Career Firefighters Association Local 4837 and PSEA PACE for Education have announced their support

The Bensalem Career Firefighters Association Local 4837, of the International Association of Fire Fighters, has endorsed U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick for re-election in the 1st Congressional District.

“I am honored to accept the endorsement of the Bensalem Career Firefighters Association who put their lives on the line every day to protect the hardworking men and women of Bensalem. I will continue to listen to our first responders and fight to make sure they have the resources they need. Firefighters are among the very first on the scene, putting our calls for help above themselves. I’m grateful for their support and their service to our community,” Fitzpatrick said.

Bensalem Career Firefighters Association consists of professional firefighters from Bensalem Township Fire Rescue, Department of Public Safety.

“Your support and understanding of the issues that affect first responders locally and nationally is commendable. We are proud to stand with you and support your re-election to the United States House of Representatives,” Local 4837 president Robert Sponheimer told Fitzpatrick.

The PSEA PACE for Education has also endorsed Fitzpatrick.

“Thank you to PSEA for your support. It’s critical we take care of those who dedicate their lives to shaping and molding students in our public school system. Education is a right, not a privilege, and in Congress I promise to be an advocate for our children, fighting for access, resources and funding,” Fitzpatrick said.

PSEA’s members are teachers, school nurses, bus drivers, cafeteria workers and school psychologists who work in public education.

“On behalf of our 180,000 PSEA members and the over 1.5 million school children served by our membership, we are pleased to recommend you due to your exemplary voting record and the commitment you have shown to our public schools and educators,” PSEA president Richard W. Askey and PSEA PACE chairman Joe Scheuermann told Fitzpatrick.
