The Marseglia-Harvie Transition Committee recently announced the appointment of Thomas Lynch as chair of the budget/finance review subcommittee. In his volunteer role, Lynch, who has decades of highly sophisticated financial experience with multi-billion-dollar companies, will lead the committee in studying Bucks County’s approach to budgeting and finances.
Tom Jennings, who leads Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Commissioner-elect Bob Harvie’s transition team, said Lynch’s subcommittee-in-formation will work on these issues over a period of several months.
Lynch was chosen to lead the subcommittee based on his extensive expertise. He serves as chairman of the TE Connectivity board of directors. From 2006 through 2017, he served as chief executive officer of TE Connectivity, a $15 billion global technology leader. He has also held executive positions with Tyco International, Motorola and General Instrument Corporation.
A lifelong Bucks County resident, Lynch is a 1972 graduate of Bishop Egan and a 1975 graduate of Rider University. He serves as president of the board of directors for Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. He and his wife Patty founded the nonprofit organization Danaher Lynch Family Foundation in 2013. The organization’s mission is to help unleash the potential of people in our community with a major emphasis on education.
