Book Sale: Township Library of Lower Southampton, 1983 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville, will have a book sale now through Sept. 28 during normal library hours. For information, call 215-355-1183.

SEPTEMBER 26

Back to School Night: Parents and teachers are encouraged to participate in “Back to School Night” scheduled by the Bensalem Township School District. Staff members and administrators will discuss academics, explain teacher expectations and student responsibilities, and present an update of school policies and procedures. “Back to School Night” will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Benjamin Rush, 3400 Hulmeville Road.

Garden Club Meeting: Martha Washington Garden Club is offering a “Make and Take” program. Instruction will be given so members and guests can create a unique fall arrangement using dried beans, seeds and fresh flowers. The club will provide the containers, beans and seeds. Participants are asked to bring a small bouquet of fresh flowers. There is a guest fee of $10 for this event. The meeting begins at 12:30 p.m., with the program following at 1 p.m. at the Yardley Masonic Hall, 1600 Edgewood Road, Yardley.

Rocktoberfest Concert: Bigg Romeo will appear in concert during Rocktoberfest from 7 to 11 p.m. at Trifecta Sporting Club, 4668 E. Bristol Road, Trevose. There is a $6 cover at the door, with food and drink for purchase.

SEPTEMBER 28

Cat Adoption: Come meet the furry love of your life at the Cat Tales Adoption Center, at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center, 1111 Easton Road, Suite 17 (next door to Animal Lifeline Thrift Store), in Warrington. Comic Fest: This family-friendly event, a celebration of comics, pop culture, creativity and fun, is taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Levittown Branch. This event features artists and authors, superheroes, games, crafts, activities for children, storytimes, costume parades, food and more. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume. Oktoberfest: Oktoberfest will take place on at 2 p.m. at Trifecta Sporting Club, 4668 E. Bristol Road, Trevose. Cost is $6, with food and drinks available for purchase. There will be music, soccer, dancing and family-friendly entertainment. Craft beer and spirits will be served by 1675 Spirits.

Olde Towne Flea Market: The Hulmeville Historical Society is sponsoring this event, which will be held in the Borough of Hulmeville from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invited to browse, socialize and shop. Snack bar, soft pretzels, homemade baked goods, raffle baskets and 50/50 tickets will be on sale inside the William Penn Firehouse, 123 Main St. Parking will be available behind the firehouse. Saturday Morning Bird Walks: The Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane in Churchville, hosts this event for amateur ornithologists from 7 to 9 a.m. An experienced bird watcher will tour the grounds with a group. For information, call 215-357-4005 or visit churchvillenaturecenter.org

Waterfall Exploration: Silver Lake Nature Center, at 1306 Bath Road in Bristol, will host this event at 1 p.m. At the far end of Silver Lake Park, the lake flows over a dam creating an oxygen-rich habitat. Participants can turn over rocks and use nets to get an up-close look at Silver Lake’s aquatic critters. Wear shoes that can get wet. Participants must be able to climb up and down a 3 step ladder. Magic: the Gathering: Comic Archive, 319 W. Main St. in Lansdale, hosts this event at 2 p.m. This classic family-friendly card game enhances strategic thinking and skills while teaching good sportsmanship. Admission is free. SEPTEMBER 30

Code Club: The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe St. in Bristol, is hosting Code Club, a STEM educational series for children in grades 2 through 8. The club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. weekly. Students in grades 2-4 will meet on Mondays, and grades 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays. Using Prenda software, children will learn how to code in Blocky, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Python and to build websites, video games, apps and more. Registration is required. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop or Chromebook to each session. A limited number of library Chromebooks will be available to use. Fading Days of Summer Camp: Bucks County Audubon Society’s School Holiday Camps are geared toward ages 4-10 (with age appropriate groups and activities) and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each session is filled with fun from hiking, live animals, stories, crafts, science experiments and hands-on natural discoveries. The fall semester’s camp dates and themes are: “Fading Days of Summer” on Sept. 30, “Creepy Nature” on Oct. 9, “Autumnal Journeys” on Nov. 5, and “Winter is Coming” on Nov. 27.
