Chief Machinist’s Mate (Nuclear) Rory Flagg, of Levittown, walks through the sideboys during the Chief Petty Officer’s pinning ceremony in the hangar bay of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagon (CVN 76).

Sailors assumed the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
