Rep Wendi Thomas (R-Bucks) is hosting a free community shredding event to give residents the opportunity to safely destroy personal paperwork.
The event, which will feature two on-site industrial paper shredders, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Council Rock High School South, 202 Rock Way, Northampton Township.
No businesses.
“Identity thieves are growing increasingly aggressive in stealing your tax and Social Security numbers and bank accounts,” Thomas said. “That’s why it is so important you securely destroy all documents containing your sensitive information, and the best way to do this is with a professional shredder. I encourage everyone to come out and take the proper steps in fighting this crime.”
