Family Service Association of Bucks County recently received a donation for the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter from the Yardley office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors through Fox & Roach/Trident Charities.
Since its inception in 1995, Fox & Roach/Trident Charities has contributed more than $6.6 million through office fund donations and board of trustee grants to more than 250 local community organizations in the tri-state area. Unique to Fox & Roach/Trident Charities, the offices and departments not only contribute to the charity fund, they also recommend to the board of trustees which eligible organizations in their community receive donations.
The Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, a program of Family Service located at 7 Library Way in Levittown, is open 24/7 and serves approximately 75 people at any given time. Typically, one-third of the residents are children. On-site services include case management, counseling, budgeting, job search resources and health evaluations. Last year, Family Service helped 495 people at the shelter, 172 of which were children under the age of 18.
Contributions such as this one help ensure that the shelter remains open for those who need it.
