The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has placed U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick on its 2020 “Retirement Watch List.”

Fitzpatrick and three other GOP congressmen were recently added to the list, joining 19 others, including National Republican Congressional Committee recruitment chairwoman Susan Brooks, an Indiana congresswoman who has already announced she will not be running for another term.

Only 6 of the 2018 cycle’s 16 GOP members on the DCCC Retirement Watch List are still in Congress. The other 10 retired on their own or were defeated.

Fivethirtyeight.com also has a story saying it would not be a surprise if Fitzpatrick retired.

Fitzpatrick faces Andy Meehan, president of an investment advisory firm, in the primary.

Democratic candidates so far are Bucks County Prothonotary Judi Reiss, Pennsbury School Board member Debbie Wachspress and Christina Finello, an Ivyland councilwoman and deputy director of the Bucks County Department of Housing and Human Services. ••
