Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic officially unifies several healthcare entities across Greater Philadelphia

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic encompasses St. Mary Medical Center, Mercy Catholic Medical Center - Mercy Fitzgerald Campus, Mercy Catholic Medical Center - Mercy Philadelphia Campus, Nazareth Hospital, Saint Francis Healthcare, and home health and LIFE programs throughout the region

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, which was announced last September, formally became one organization on July 1, operating under one board and one senior regional leadership team, and identifying its members with a new brand logo that incorporates the Trinity Health colors and icons. Mercy Health System has been rolled up into the new organization and retired its brand and organizational name.

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Mercy Philadelphia Hospital will continue to serve patients at their campuses under one operating license using the new names of Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Fitzgerald Campus and Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Philadelphia Campus. Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia will retain its name, as will Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, and St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.

The iconic Mercy Health System “shield” logo, as well as the crosses used by St. Mary and Saint Francis, will be retired, as all Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic entities receive new, fresh looks in line with its parent organization, the Livonia, Michigan-based Trinity Health.

“This unified brand will help to visually connect our facilities and services for the communities we serve and show our strength as a regional organization. Our commitment to our mission, our patients and our communities remains as strong as ever, and builds on our foundation of faith,” said James L. Woodward, president and CEO of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. “While we work to enhance our regional structure, our patients can continue to see the doctors they have come to know and to receive the compassionate care they deserve.”

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic brings many benefits to the diverse communities served by its hospitals and their related services, including increased clinical collaboration; more tailored, comprehensive approaches for each community; and streamlined operational efficiencies for both patients and colleagues. Together, these entities bring a renewed dedication to the Catholic-health core values of reverence, stewardship, integrity, justice and commitment to the underserved.
