Herschel Walker and Jim Worthington to co-host luncheon for the National Fitness Foundation in Philadelphia

The Newtown Athletic Club, Herschel Walker (former pro football player with the Philadelphia Eagles and Heisman Trophy winner), and Jim Worthington (owner of the NAC) are co-hosting a luncheon for the National Fitness Foundation, celebrating the launch of America’s first National Endowment for Youth Sports. This will take place Thursday, April 18 from noon to 2 p.m. at The Fitler Club, 2400 Market St., №100, Philadelphia.
This is a private event to introduce the concept of a perpetual funding source for the work of the foundation to interested parties who will be able to support and/or create awareness for the endeavor. Representatives from local professional sports teams and high-level corporations will be in attendance. Also in attendance will be Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (D-PA4) and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA1).
Clay Walker, executive director of the National Fitness Foundation will be in attendance as well to inform the group of the work in progress to meet the goals of creating a more vibrant and healthier America by engaging our youth and all Americans in sports and physical activity.
