Kids on Campus brings summer fun to Bucks Community College

Registration is open for 120 different day camps at the Newtown campus

The Times

Kids on Campus is returning to Bucks County Community College this summer with 120 different day camps at the Newtown campus, all of which have an educational component.

Topics range from computers and athletics, to crafts and academics, geared to ages 5 and up. Programs begin the week of June 17 and run through the week of Aug. 9. Most camps are one week in length, giving a family the freedom to choose among many different programs and still have time for a summer vacation.

Among the new programs is Royal Fun, where 5- and 6-year-olds can dream up their own castle and create their own dragon. Also new this summer is Down with Descendants for ages 7 to 9, where kids can explore their favorite characters from the Disney movie. This age group can also enjoy Make Your First Video Game and learn how to code, or try Battle Royale to make a Fortnite-style video game in augmented reality.

A full list of camps, with descriptions, dates and age ranges, can be found at bucks.edu/kidsoncampus. Camps run Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown. Before and after care is available on site through the YMCA of Bucks County.

A 10 percent discount is available if registration is paid by April 5. Military families can receive a 20 percent discount if they show military ID in person. To register, call 215–968–8409. For more information, contact Rick Snyder at 215–968–8016 or Rick.Snyder@bucks.edu.
