Bucks County Community College’s Trips and Travel Club is heading to Terror behind the Walls and more

Bucks County Community College’s Trips and Travel Club will head to Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia on Friday, Oct. 12 from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets cost $40 for the public, $35 for seniors 65 and over, and $25 for BCCC students. Enjoy a night in the massive, castle-like Eastern State walls ranked among the top haunted attractions in America. Round-trip bus transportation from 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown.

The club will travel to Tyler Hall & Gardens on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for the public and $10 for BCCC students. Experience the historic Tyler estate on the college campus, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, with a guided tour of the formal gardens, a visit to the mansion and a demonstration of restoration projects with Professor Lyle Rosenberger.

A trip to Barnes Foundation will take place on Friday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $50 for the public, $45 for seniors 65 and over, and $25 for BCCC students. Enjoy the Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist exhibit and the path of a woman who defied the social norms of her era to join the Parisian avant-garde. Travel to Cloisters in New York City on Friday, Nov. 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $50 for the public, $45 for seniors 65 and over, and $25 for BCCC students. The museum in Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan specializes in European medieval architecture and is governed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The club will travel to Winterthur, New Castle County, Delaware on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. Tickets cost $50 for the public, $45 for seniors 65 and over, and $25 for BCCC students. Enjoy a guided tour of Henry Francis du Pont’s former home, which is decorated with sparkling holiday displays. Round-trip bus transportation from 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown.

Experience Longwood Gardens Christmas in Kennett Square on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $70 for the public, $65 for seniors 65 and over, and $25 for BCCC students. Longwood Gardens is decorated with more than 6,000 seasonal plants and a half-million lights. The newly restored, colorful fountains dance to holiday music.
