215 Mopar, Philadelphia’s premier car club, recently made a large donation of nonperishable goods to Family Service Association of Bucks County, a non-profit organization that served more than 26,000 people last year.
215 Mopar has donated more than 7,500 pounds of food to Family Service to date. The nonperishables will be utilized by Family Service’s food pantry in Langhorne, which distributes food directly to clients and other Bucks County residents who need it.
215 Mopar president Michael Gamble arranged this event in conjunction with the group’s sister club, Team Elite, from North Jersey. Members from both organizations regularly rally together to help the community.
“[215 Mopar’s] generosity is overwhelming,” said Joanne Bogrett, chief development officer. “These members have huge hearts, and we are fortunate to partner with them. In a very short period of time, they came up with an initiative to help many families in Bucks County who are struggling to meet their basic food needs.”
The Family Service food pantry is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. To learn more, contact Julia Thompson at (215) 757–6916, ext. 226. To donate, contact Joanne Bogrett at (215) 757–6916, ext. 211 or [email protected].
