The Bristol Borough Raising the Bar Committee released the official schedule for the Budweiser Clydesdales visit on Sept. 5. Sponsored by Budweiser, Bristol Borough and Raising the Bar, the visit lasts from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

[Update: View photos and recap here]

The caravan begins at the Simon and Schuster warehouse yard, 2207 Radcliffe St in Bristol. The yard is closed to the public, but from there the clydesdales will travel north on Radcliffe Street to Farragut Ave, Pond St., Old Route 13 and down Mill St. to riverfront at the end of Mill St.

The anticipated stops along the route are:

The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 2299 Radcliffe St.;
Pines Tavern, 6217 Radcliffe St.;
Apollo Pizza, 1834 Farragut Ave.;
Borough Pub, 1800 Farragut Ave;
Bert’s Place, 1608 Farragut Ave;
Phinny Magee’s, 1400 Farragut Ave;
Mill Street Cantina, 101 Mill St.;
King George Inn, 102 Radcliffe St.

The clydesdales are scheduled to stay at the park at Mill and Radcliffe streets for approximately half-hour, making it an ideal spot for photos and to see the horses up close. They will also be unhitched and displayed in the Mill Street parking lot after the caravan.

The event will be canceled in the event of inclement weather and, due to the horses’ schedule and travel restriction, cannot be rescheduled.

Borough vendors are invited to set up tents or tables at their establishments. The Bristol Lions will operate their hot dog stand at the riverfront, and Raising the Bar, the Bristol Borough Business Association (BBBA) and Bristol Cultural and Historical Association will be the only groups set up along the waterfront. No out-of-town vendors are permitted.

Spots along Mill Street will be available for businesses or non-profits not along the route. T Those interested should contact Shea Cialella of the BBBA at bbba1681@gmail.com. There is no charge but they must be reserved in advance and are awarded at the discretion of Raising the Bar and the BBBA.

Raising the Bar will hold a lottery on August 26 at the Centre for the Arts, 308 Mill St., at noon. Volunteers must be 18 or older and capable of walking 2.1 miles. Those interested can register at the Centre for the Arts or Grundy Library, 680 Radcliffe St., through August 25.
