State Rep. Tina Davis was sworn in last week for her fifth term representing the 141st Legislative District.
“I am deeply honored to serve the people of the 141st District,” Davis said. “I thank them for their confidence in my ability to best serve their interests in Harrisburg. In the coming term, I will be working with my colleagues and across the aisle to achieve the House Democrats’ #Plan4PA. The plan is focused on building a Pennsylvania that works for working families through good jobs, affordable health care, quality schools and a fair economy, all of which will make Bucks County an even better place to live and work.”
Davis, a Democrat, also ran for state Senate last year, but lost to Republican Sen. Tommy Tomlinson by 74 votes.
Democrats gained 11 seats in the House in the November election, but finished the cycle at a 110–93 disadvantage.
Democrats are down to 91 seats following the death of Lackawanna County Rep. Sid Michaels Kavulich and the bribery conviction of Philadelphia Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown.
House Speaker Mike Turzai has set special election dates for March 12. Davis is joined by 24 first-term House Democrats. In this term, there are more female representatives (51) in the House than in the history of Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives swearing-in ceremony is mandated by the state constitution to convene at noon on the first Tuesday in January. This is the 203rd legislative session. ••
