Sunshine Foundation hosted its 22nd annual RunWalkBark4Dreams 5K fun run and 2-mile walk on May 18, at Tyler State Park.
Participants and sponsors of the event raised funds to make Zachary’s dream come true. Zachary, 9, with Down syndrome, dreams of visiting Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse. His mom said, “Thank you everyone! It was an amazing day. When we got in the car, Zachary said, ‘I had fun today,’ with smiles.”
The event drew community members, as well as corporate groups and organizations walking or running as a team-building activity that supports children with profound, lifelong illnesses and conditions.
