A toy drive, Santa drive-thru and more are set for this month

The Bensalem Township Department of Public Safety is hosting a Toy Drive on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This drive-thru event to drop off toys and gift cards will take place at the Bensalem Township Municipal Building, 2400 Byberry Road. Additional drop-off locations through Dec. 18 include Bensalem Fire Rescue and Bensalem Police, both 2400 Byberry Road, and Bensalem EMS, located at 3800 Hulmeville Road. Call 215-633-3617 for more information. All toys and gift cards collected will be donated to needy families in Bensalem.

Santa’s Drive-Thru Visit is set for Saturday, Dec. 12, beginning at 5 p.m., at the Municipal Building. This is a restructuring of the annual township tree lighting ceremony to ensure safety and social distancing during COVID-19. Bring canned goods and give Santa a wave. Remain in the car to ensure safety.

Bensalem’s Parks & Recreation Department is now gathering Letters to Santa to send to the North Pole from all of the children in Bensalem. Mail your letter to: Santa Claus, North Pole, ℅ Bensalem Parks & Recreation Department, 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem PA 19020. Be sure to include your name, age & address and send them in by Dec. 12 so Santa has time to get back to you before his big trip around the world.
