On Sunday, October 26, Pennsbury Manor – William Penn’s picturesque home on the Delaware River – will once again transform its riverside grounds into a lively Halloween destination, welcoming more than 1,000 costumed kids and their families for Tricks & Treats—a free afternoon of spooky fun with a historic twist.
An expected 1,000+ local kids in costumes will descend on the historic property with their families for one of the region’s most popular, family-friendly Halloween experiences. Activities will include:
- Trick-or-treating throughout the estate, with volunteers in period dress handing out candy
- A chance to sit on the jury of a witch trial, inspired by the real 1683 case William Penn presided over
- Cider pressing demonstrations
- A Halloween carnival packed with games and activities
- A whimsical “magic pumpkin” show featuring talking gourds
- Heritage dancers showing off 17th-century steps
Children and families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy Halloween at the reconstructed estate of Pennsylvania’s founder, right on the banks of the Delaware River.
Event hours are 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
