The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that paving is scheduled this week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
