On Saturday, June 28, Brews & Bites, a beer, wine, and spirits tasting event at Pennsbury Manor, will kick off the Independence Day holiday week.
Held al fresco at the idyllic riverfront home of Pennsylvania’s founder William Penn, this sunset fundraiser from 4-8 p.m. features local beer tasting, food trucks, and live music by classic rock/Motown band AUGUST.
Since William Penn established a brew house on the site in the 1680s, Pennsbury will offer samples of beer brewed on-site for tasting at the event.
This event supports high-quality educational tours and programming at Pennsbury Manor for more than 10,000 schoolchildren annually.
“William Penn may have been among Pennsylvania’s earliest microbrewers,” said Pennsbury Manor Site Director, Doug Miller. “With the support of today’s brewers, Pennsbury will raise funds for our educational programming, while hoisting a glass to a 300+ year tradition at Pennsbury Manor.”

This is a 21+ event. $45 tickets include unlimited drink sampling; $20 tickets that come with unlimited water and soft drinks are available for designated drivers.
