Central Bucks East Girls’ Relay Team Tops PA Indoor Championships

Central Bucks East’s girls’ track team made waves at the 2025 Track and Field Coaches Association State Indoor Championships, securing a gold medal in the 4×800 meter relay and finishing tied for third in team rankings.

The championship, held at Penn State, saw nine local schools compete in a variety of events, but it was the Central Bucks East 4×800 relay team’s dominance that stood out.

The 4×800 relay squad—composed of senior Lilly Norcross, juniors Paige Dougherty and Madison Epstein, and sophomore Ava Mignon—clocked an impressive 9:18.45 to claim the area’s only gold medal.

The Patriots also earned a silver in the 4×400 meter relay, where Dougherty, Mignon, Epstein, and junior Gabrielle Szyarto set a new school record with a time of 3:55.56.

Individual performances also added to the Central Bucks East girls’ success. Mignon placed ninth in the 800 meters with a 2:16.67 finish, while Szyarto sprinted to 11th place in the 200 meters at 25.21.

The team continued its strong showing with a fourth-place finish in the 4,000-meter distance medley, clocking a school-best 12:25.35.

Central Bucks South followed closely behind in the medley relay, setting its own school record with a time of 12:29.20.

Their 4×200 relay team notched a fifth-place finish in 1:43.81, both marks setting new school records.
