District One & PAISAA Boys Basketball Playoff Updates

The road to the championship is heating up in District One and the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) as teams battle for a shot at postseason glory.

Here are the second-round pairings, results, and upcoming matchups.

In Class 6A, top-seeded Lower Merion, on a 10-game winning streak, hosts 17th-seeded Pennsbury.

Central Bucks East, third in the SOL Colonial, faces Phoenixville (18-7).

Fourth-seeded Garnet Valley plays Bensalem, led by senior guard Amir Drummond, who averages 19 points per game.

Fifth-seeded Plymouth Whitemarsh meets 21st-seeded Neshaminy, looking to overturn a January loss.

Souderton, SOL Colonial champions, plays Spring-Ford, and Central Bucks South, winners of 15 consecutive regular-season basketball games, faces Cheltenham.

Winners advance to the quarterfinals on Feb. 21.

In Class 5A quarterfinals, top-seeded Upper Dublin plays ninth-seeded Chichester.

Upper Moreland, co-champions of the SOL Freedom division, faces Marple Newtown.

Holy Ghost Prep plays Penncrest, the Central League champions, with a 20-3 record. Pottsgrove meets Springfield-Delco, and the semifinals are set for Feb. 22.

In the Class 4A semifinals, Lower Moreland visits Pope John Paul II, and Collegium Charter plays Bishop Shanahan.

Class 3A features New Hope-Solebury against MaST Charter and Faith Christian versus Bristol.

In Class 2A, Delco Christian plays Calvary Christian, and Dock Mennonite faces Church Farm.

In Class A, Chester Charter hosts Plumstead Christian, while Phil-Mont Christian plays The Christian Academy.

Finals take place on Feb. 22, with third-place games in Class A.

The PAISAA tournament includes Abington Friends against top-seeded Perkiomen School and Germantown Academy versus Penn Charter.

George School, undefeated in the Friends School League regular season, plays Friends Select.

The second round is scheduled for Feb. 25, with first-round winners advancing to higher-seeded matchups.

Bucks County sports teams will continue battling for district titles and PIAA state tournament spots; only time will tell who comes out on top.
