On the wrestling mat, Hatboro-Horsham’s Dominick Morrison pinned his way to the 114-pound title at the Ralph Wetzel Holiday Tournament.
For the girls, Souderton’s MacKenna Atkinson earned a 235-pound championship with three pins, including a lightning-fast 16-second final match.
Track & field saw record-setting performances, including Destini Smith of Souderton breaking a 21-year-old Pennsylvania state record in the triple jump with a mark of 42-2.75.
Central Bucks East’s Tyler Tomlinson claimed the 3,000-meter title at the Robert J. Burdette Indoor Classic with a blazing time of 8:54.04.
Without question, these inspired performances are why so many of these athletes are being considered for Athlete of the Week honors.
From buzzer-beaters on the court to dominant wrestling matches and track records falling, Bucks County athletes keep showing up in a big way.
