Acme retail theft
On Aug. 22, Mikheil Edisherashvili, 43, of Philadelphia, was arrested by Lower Southampton Police after filling a shopping cart with consumable items at the Acme in Feasterville and walking past all points of sale, exiting the store without paying for the items.
A Loss Prevention officer was present and notified police prior to him exiting the store. Lower Southampton Police officers were in the parking lot waiting and apprehended Edisherashvili as he was exiting the store and approaching his vehicle.
During the arrest process, it was learned that he committed a previous retail theft on Aug. 1, which was reported to Lower Southampton Police and being investigated. The Loss Prevention officer was aware of this incident and contacted LSPD when the man returned.
He has been charged with two counts of Retail Theft and two counts of Receiving Stolen Property. He is awaiting his day in court.
Walmart retail theft
Bensalem Police are investigating a retail theft at the Walmart, located at 3461 Horizon Blvd., on Aug. 20. It was reported at approximately 10 p.m. that an unknown white female entered the store and stole $98 worth of Pokemon sets. She fled the area in a gray Honda Civic without paying for the merchandise.

National Night Out
National Night Out, which aims to build trust between the community and police officers, took place recently in Bensalem Township.
On display was the “Behind Closed Doors” educational trailer, police vehicles and equipment, including drones. Attendees also enjoyed a K9 demonstration and an appearance from Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty.
