“Storing Tender Bulbs for the Winter” is the featured topic at the monthly meeting of the Trevose Horticultural Society on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem.
Guest speaker Terry Fulginiti will describe the unique characteristics of true bulbs, corms, rhizomes, tubers and tuberous roots, and the methods used to store bulbs over the winter. Proper digging, drying and storage procedures provide successful protection through the winter to assure beautiful plants next year.
