Jefferson Bucks Hospital joins a leading group of organizations to receive the Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Pathway designation is a global credential that highlights Jefferson Bucks Hospital’s commitment to creating a healthy work environment where nurses feel valued and empowered, and are an integral part of the healthcare team. Pathway to Excellence nurses are fully engaged in both policy and practice, resulting in higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety and better patient outcomes.
“I am so proud of our nurses that are dedicated to providing outstanding care, and to do this to the best of our ability, they need to work in an environment that supports their needs and invites their engagement,” said Michelle Conley, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, senior vice president and chief nursing officer, Jefferson Health. “The ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation highlights our commitment to creating a positive environment where our nurses’ contributions are respected and their voices count.”
To earn the designation, organizations must demonstrate excellence in six key standards: shared decision-making, leadership, safety, quality, wellbeing and professional development. The designation is active for four years at which time hospitals can review the designation through a comprehensive review.
